The hamlet itself has a population of about 35. Ley GreenLey Green is ½ mile north of the Kings Walden and has a population of 86. The village has a post office and store, and a pub, The Plough. Ley Green is listed in the 1086 doomsday book as a separate community of 4 households. The old school playing field is owned by the parish council and includes play equipment and a small sports pitch. Breachwood GreenBreachwood Green lies 1 mile south-west of Kings Walden, and has a population of 614. The village has one pub, The Red Lion. The village school (Breachwood Green JMI) was built in 1859. To the north of the village is a partially restored windmill (without sails). The village also has a large Baptist chapel, village hall and recreation ground. The village hall is managed by a community trust and is available for hire. The recreation ground is managed by the parish council and includes a floodlit multi-use games arena and tennis court. The Heath The Heath is an area to the north of Breachwood Green. In addition to the original houses, it has some light industrial and commercial premises. The Heath includes the 1970s housing development of Windmill Rd.
